Day 25

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

If You Forget Me

Today's image celebrates 'The War of the Worlds' written by H.G. Wells whilst he was living here in Woking. The work mentions local places such as Horsell Common and Byfleet, and this tripod is an imposing sculpture in our town.

The song is from Jeff Wayne's musical version of the novel.
