There are some great photographers contributing here, and I guess that everyone feels the same pressure of creating something new every day. Sometimes it works perfectly, such as my 'bum shot' a couple of days ago. That one is still making me grin 2 days later! But what happens when inspiration and/or technical competance deserts you? Those days when the camera feels alien in your hands. I'd be interested to see what people here think is the worst photograph they've posted as their PAD, and what went wrong!

Home late after a long trip with little sleep, and trying to do something fancy with bouced falsh. Boy, do look tired...

OK, I'm in on this one

I remember I was having an off day that way and I was still pretty new to PAD.

I don't like the shot at all because it's so busy. There's no real direct point of focus, just a bunch of stuff everywhere. I don't remember what I was going for at the time, but LOL I didn't get it whatever it was.

I’d have to say hands down the one I hate the most is this one: http://www.pbase.com/image/24657604 It had been a really crappy day at work and I was also bummed that my family was away in Colorado skiing for 2 weeks and I had to stay home to work. I just didn’t feel like shooting that day. Finally that evening I drug myself away from the PC game I received for Christmas (Call of Duty!!) and did this bad shot. LOL

I'm wondering why on earth you would bother posting any image at all if you hate it so much.

The goal is a picture a day and let tell you there are days that is tough to find something to photograph. It is not a lack of good things to photograph but the lack of time. 24 hrs seem like a long time but after a day of work and errands it get real short real fast.

Sometimes it's all you got. I figure I have to post something. I try to take my PADs the same day and there are many times when I just don't have time to get something creative and just try to get something done.

Everyday in posting a image..they cannot all be brilliant. If we expect that of ourselves we would certainly go mad.

I'm not doing a PaD just for the sake of posting an image I don't like. I'm doing a PaD because it's stretching my mind and my abilities. I'm also learning to plan ahead and to seize opportunities when they arise.

If I ever get to the point where all I have are images that I don't like..then I'll stop, because for me, it has defeated the very purpose for which it was intended.

The day is 24 hours long for everyone. Whilst I may have more time than many, I also have restrictions on where I go and thus, what I see.

Not counting simple snapshots posted for some reason but taken without any forethought (many of which would definately qualify for worst shots), my least favorite photo posted... it would be a tie between a shot of a kiwi and a shot of a chess set. And the reason is the same. In both shots I had envisioned one thing but couldn't pull it off with the camera. :oops:

But that's whats good about the pad... makes you think and try.

I suppose it HAS to be this one, although the one a few days before showing wrapped up Christmas presents was SO boring, but I was stumped for ideas.

My worst PAD was taken on Christmas Day when visiting my mum's nursing home. I only wish I had my Rebel then to give a higher ISO and shutter speed!
