Well not exactly like holding up a lighter in a concert! A huge thanks to Bev and Lee for their time and attention to the challenges. You both bring a lot of laughs and fun to the challenges, not too mention the enjoyment you bring with your other galleries.

and yes I know, breaking the rules today. sometimes ya gatta. A shot of pouring rain or a state flag didn't seem fitting! lol :(
Cheers!

Courageously joining in the challenge

I have been "watching" the challenges and this one honoring the spirit of Bev and Lee -- with their sense of humor and spirit of nothing held back -- seemed like the time to be courageous and step in. I hope to continue to meet future challenges that stretch me beyond my comfort zones (but hopefully not as often) with as much courage and humor as you two. This is my SP in a pose reminiscent of da Vinci's Vitruvian Man -- a famous drawing by da Vinci used by many anatomical texts, etc. This is a spoof as much on me as it is art history.

And I hope I posted it correctly. Let me know if not. Thanks and I look forward to seeing more of your work, thoughts, and ideas.
Best,
Laura

I know I said that I was going to take a break from the Thursday Challenges, but apparently, I am not so good at quitting. Once the idea came to me though, this one was too good to pass up.

You know, I had these brilliant ideas of how to do the tribute (they would've been awesome!) but then I came down with some nasty kind of flu and I'm struggling to make it through the day(s) ... (more likely caused by being run-down and burnt-out).
I just want to say how appreciative I am to Bev and Lee for making this weekly challenge possible and such a lot of fun (and yes, hard work! my brain sometimes has difficulty engaging in a concrete manner). Thanks from this canuck!

A bit late for this entry - been on a short holiday.

These challenges are a great opportunity to explore the limits. Inspired by the search for extreme depth of field with the Sigma 10-20mm UWA.
