A (wo)man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his/her life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful. (free to J.W. von Goethe)

For the 30th. where I was married cough/cough years ago. I think this has weathered rather better than I have.

The Parish of St Mary, Penwortham has a fine Grade 2* listed church on a site which has been used for Christian worship for over a thousand years. Although the nave and vestry areas date only from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries respectively, almost the whole of the chancel and tower are early mediaeval.

Opps missed posting last night: The Old Ranchhouse: http://www.pbase.com/image/115535275 (Had to stand on picnic tables to get shots...)
I had so much fun there it has inspired me to go and get more shots for a gallery of an OLD (by California standards!) retired cattle ranch. Few smaller livestock there.
