Hi,
this is my entry for both the Week # 3 and for the May challenge,
http://www.pbase.com/image/124172752/
I'm really busy these days, I will be flying to Rome on Thursday, but I will try to participate all I can (I'm taking my camera and netbook)
Thank you so much for your generous comments on my photos.
I will catch up with comments in a few minutes!
Hugs, Maggie

2. I got a little wordy with my memory today. I apologize in advance. Lol! We attended the "Cinco de Mayo" parade on Saturday. It was really a lot of fun with music and dancing for all. Afterward they had a dance and "fiesta" in Veteran's Park. Lots of food, traditional snacks (paletas similar to popcicles made of fruit), churros (fried dough rolled in sugar) and raspadas (snow cones). http://www.pbase.com/yazziegirl/image/124175255/medium

I haven't been able to participate lately in the challenges and miss them quite a bit. I thought it was quite appropriate that this month's challenge is entitled "Memories." I still won't be able to participate daily, but felt compelled to share the photos that will stick in my memory for the rest of my life. Some of you may know that Nashville was visited by the worst flood in its history this past weekend.
Here is the devastation of my neighborhood: http://www.pbase.com/bellanundo/floodageddon_2010

My husband and I are some of the lucky ones - we have no discernable damage to our home or property, merely a loss of power since Saturday afternoon. Had to haul out the generator and nurse it through the evening yesterday to keep phones charged, computer charged, wireless running, etc.

Peace to you all (we need it),
Nancy
