I'm in the process of evaluating where to move my photos to and stumbled upon this well written comparison between Zenfolio and Smugmug. Thought I'd pass it along. https://photographylife.com/zenfolio-vs-smugmug

Interesting comparison, but one key factor was left out, and that is traffic. I've tried both zenfolio and smugmug and did not get the traffic I get with Pbase. I have a 500px account and posted this photo yesterday afternoon Since then it has had over 120 views. https://500px.com/photo/130870489/sunrise-near-seaport-village-by-walter-otto-koenigI never had that many views with any image on zenfolio or smugmug. Also there are quite a few PBase refugees on 500px. Plus you get a regular site and a portfolio. http://www.amoxtli.net/
So you may want to check out 500px.

I prefer smugmug $60 plan. load it all and if you want to sell upgrade.
Zen is a nice site I just did not use it after file transfer from PBase.

I feel their (500px) "terms" are too far-reaching, in reference to what they are allowed to do with my photos, and would never agree to them. (ymmv)

I fully agree with that.
I have already read many posts about similar topics, by the way.
I still think that, with all its limits and flaws, PBase is still the only site which allows users to personalize their pages and to create subgalleries; in a way to have a display of photos which includes also texts and visual compositions.
Everything depends on the purpose every amateur photographer intends to reach.

I've decided to move to Zenfolio for the simple reason that they deal with a Canadian pro-printing lab. The amount of customization that you can do is insane! How refreshing to work with a photo hosting site that's modern, responsive and fun to use. :D

I think we have all different needs to fulfil, as for the choice of a site where we can upload our photos.
I have found a rather interesting review about Zenfolio here.

http://www.sitebuilderreport.com/review ... our-review

I had tested Zenfolio too, about one year ago, and my impression are confirmed in the review I mentioned above.
So I left Zenfolio after the test period.

I hope Inga will enjoy the site she chose and she will be fully satisfied with the decision she took.
As for me I still find Pbase the most suitable site for my own purposes and Interests.

It's true that the traffic has dropped lately, but I still prefer quality rather than quantity.
Receiving hundred of hits from casual visitors, who look at my photos for the very short time necessary to click on a kind of "I like "button (one second?) and then go quickly away is not exactly what I consider particularly rewarding.

Thought I would try 500px to see if I liked it. Well, I had a problem with the payment page and my credit card. Sure enough, I contacted their support and that was days ago and I have not had any reply or help to fix my account. Just like Pbase, the support at 500px sucks.
