Comment Management has gone mad, yesterday the total number of comments was 253, since then I've received six more... Reading now 860... Weird!!!

Hmm -- FWIW --I haven't seen anything, but I have my account settings restricting comments from anyone not a paid PBase subscriber. I'm thinking I changed to that setting after something like you describe, but it was quite a few years ago.
