I like to look at a picture quickly, and say "That's a good pic" then move onto the next
I recently had a book produced on the Swedish west coast, and had hundreds of photos.
The difficult part was to whittle it down to the photos that would really add value, and the method of choice for selecting the pics was this:
- friends and family were asked to look at a draft version of the book
- then without warning, and without the original book, they were asked to describe as many photos as they could.
- the forgettable ones were dropped... even if I liked them.
To judge, I will look at the entries, then wait a bit, and see which ones I remember
