OK, here we go with this weeks winner and runners ups. As always there were some great entries. I'm always amazed at the creativity of people. First the honorable mentions in no particular order:
From the first time I saw this one it stuck in my head(no pun intended). Didn't really have the unique perspective aspect I was looking for but a cool juxtaposition.
I love these hall of columns type images. There were a couple entries but this one had the more intresting lighting.
This was a cool one. Very intimidating.
The look up the tree trunk theme isn't unique but this one was well executed and the sun peeping through adds an element to it.
And the winners are:
Third place. I've tried several times myself and failed to pull of a similar composition. The mountain BG puts context around this tiny alpine bloom. Nicely done.
Second place. This one caught my attention right off the bat. Great eye seeing the potential of this scene and then capturing it.
And finally, first place and the official passing of the baton goes to Arnie Petersmidt and presumably the family dogs. Maybe you have to be a dog lover to appreciate this one but hey, the contest isn't about mass appeal, it only has to appeal to the judge, right? This one combined the element of a unique compositional perspective with the juxtaposition of the second dog in the BG. And it captures a moment of true bliss. Congrats, Arnie, you take it from here...
