The 7 Elements are:
1 Texture
2 Form (Form is considered three-dimensional showing height, width and depth)
3 Space (Space refers to the distances or areas around, between or within components of the subject)
4 Line (As an art element, line pertains to the use of various marks, outlines and implied lines)
5 Shape (Shapes can be geometric (e.g.: square, circle, triangle, hexagon, etc.) or organic (such as the shape of a puddle, blob, leaf, boomerang, etc.) in nature)
6 Colour
7 Value (Value, or tone, refers to the use of light and dark, shade and highlight, in an artwork. Black-and-white photography depends entirely on value to define its subjects. Value is directly related to contrast)
October’s images don't have to be taken on a strictly daily basis. Neither do they have to be posted on the same day as they were taken. The only stipulation is that 31 photos corresponding to 31 be covered and posted some time during the month. They have to be taken within the month and not taken prior unless, of course, it is a day or two before when we posted the challenge.
A few rules / guidelines for the challenge:
PLEASE DO NOT DIP INTO YOUR ARCHIVES, THE PURPOSE OF THIS CHALLENGE IS TO SEEK OUT IMAGES AND TAKE PHOTOS.
Don’t forget to leave comments for other participants in the challenge. No posting only please, the challenge is about having fun and camaraderie, and to learn from other participants, so check out the images other participants post and comment on at least some of them.
Happy photographing everyone! There’s plenty of art out there. Let your imagination run free, and let's have some fun on our journey together this month.
