WEEKLY INFORMAL CHALLENGE 128: "Education"

Weekly Challenge: "Education"

They say life is for learning. There are many ways and many places we can learn, whether out of books, magazines, newspapers, mobile phones or computers, but also at schools, universities, museums and exhibits. If we think about it the variety is vast. Show us an image of learning or education, the more unusual and creative, the better.

A few simple rules:

1. Themes are posted on Fridays to give you the weekend to come up with a FRESH shot for the challenge to post through Monday.

2. This is about interaction, learning, being challenged and having fun so... HAVE FUN!

3. The themes are specific but interpretations are broad. Stay on theme but PLEASE feel free to think outside the box.

4. Look at others' submissions, comment as moved to do so and offer supportive and constructive feedback. Please don't just post for exposure. Look and at least comment on some.

5. Did we already mention: HAVE FUN!!!

Dual entry for PAD and Weekly Challenge...

Was going to do a dog training session shot where I am house sitting but didn't know how to work something at the home so had to learn how. Had learned something else using the same source.
Where and what did I learn earlier this month & tonight? 2 totally different skills...
Undo the circle, a composite of 3 images,. The left side was done with Windows "Snipping Tool" - what I learned earlier this month. The right side had the red 'dot' picture pasted after I did research on how to use the item. The green was resizing the image to make it square (canvas).

Use the 'snipping tool' (Windows Accessories - or just type snipping in the search box) highlight & save the image or paste into editing program such as photoshop, PSE,...

Take this image & 3 simple Photoshop steps see the original image where I got my education & what I learned. Be sure to have the correct boxes selected in the Polar Coordinates.

1. filter-Distort: Polar Coordinates-Polar to Rectangle
2. rotate image 180 degrees
3. filter-Distort; Polar Coordinates_ Rectangle to Polar

(so when you see those amazing circles and you wonder what it was...now you can revert the circle to the original image.

Last night was our high school's Homecoming football game, with an Olympic theme.. this class of 2014 has their own altered reality going too, thinking they are from Greece. :)

Couldn't associate first with the theme education until I noticed the dictionary on an outdoor table of mine,a bit weathered

As I was thinking about this challenge on the topic of “Education” I remembered a place called Yesteryear Village, a history park about 10 miles from where I live.
