I'm not 100% sure if this qualifies as strange but it's beautiful.

Sean, I think it's both strange and beautiful. The one below is more conventional but interested me for its strangeness.
It's St. Michael, with what are said to be retractable wings for too-windy days. 12th C ~

andrys, that's cool. Our family home was no more then 50ft from Saint Michael's church and school. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Saint Mike

My shot was taken in York museum gardens. The sculpture is not there anymore as it was only on loan so i'm glad i was there to shoot it

For SEAN : Yes, Greek statues are beautiful , but with this one, there is no brain..a defect enough running !
