Thank you Maaike! I'm making a start with the story of the Children of Lir. All of the following are connected to the story. There is a link to the story in the Fionnuala image.

Benachie is the hill in the left top corner

'...Another correspondent, Mr J Craig, told me of an incident which took place on Bennachie. He and his two friends were resting below the summit when "... we all stopped talking and a most horrid feeling of unease and then absolute terror swept over us. As one person, the three of us fled down through heather, boulders, with no thought except 'get away, get away'." They didn't stop running until they reached the foot of the hill. Craig claims the phenomenon is well-known in the area as Jock o' Bennachie....'

Today's story is a legend about the fairies from the midlands of Ireland.

"...the owners of the fields work around them and try not to disturb these very large boulders, for fear of bringing a curse upon the farm and family. The farmers believe that the faeries who circle the stones on moonlit nights would be angry if the rocks were moved..."
