Ultra High-End Scanners

Post Thu Jan 27, 2005 1:19 am

I'm working on a VERY big, long term, scanning & archiving project.

I saw a machine in NYC during the PHOTO PLUS trade show from a company called Creo. They are an Israeli comapny from what I understand.

Has anyone heard anything, good or bad, about them?

Or better yet, is anyone using any of their machines.

The guy I met claimed their best machine rivals and even beats drum scanning.

Anyone??

Creo is a well known name in pro imaging circles. My employer is in a business relationship with them and from what I hear they are a good company to work with. They are having some shareholder issues at the moment - one of their minority owners has launched a proxy fight to have its own slate of directors elected, so they may be in for some management changes in the near future. I think their stockholder meeting is in February. If you do a search for them in Google or Yahoo, you can find out the details - it's all public knowledge.
