rebel 2000 or elan II????

i have a choice between canon rebel 2000 or elan II... same price, but cant decide. any help?

I've had both. The Elan II (EOS 50) is the better spec'd camera, although it's older. With the Elan II you can switch metering patterns and AF modes, move the AF to the * button, you get mirror lockup and an AF assist lamp. Get an Elan IIE and you also get Eye Control focus. The Rebel 2000 is smaller and lighter though. I'd recommend the ElanII.
