CANON AE1 QUESTION

I picked up a Canon AE1 on Ebay. Everything seems to work ok except the shutter stays open as long as the button is held down (as if on "blub")...no matter the speed setting. Am I overlooking something or is this a problem for a repair shop? I've had a Canon FTb and Canonet 17 for years. This is my first AE1.

I had the same problem with one of my Canon AT-1 cameras. I had to take it to the shop to get fixed. Not a major problem, it happens at times.
