Need help regarding ruined Photos

Ah yes! but Digital hasn't taken off enough yet, they are still asking lots of money for good SLR's and middle format cameras.
But its not that, you see, I have a CD player but I play my Vinyl records because I think they sound better. I also smoke a Pipe and not cigarettes or cigars, it tastes better, but both have that other something called Feel. Yes I have a small digital a Canon A-60, and unless you are going to invest serious funds in a Digital SLR unit (which I don't have, and will be out of date as soon as you take it out of the shop), I still think film is a better medium for quality and versatility, and like my Pipe and Vinyl records, the end product gives me much more satisfaction. I would also like to see the modern digital camera that will still be taking superb photos in thirty years time like my A1.
Ps. I managed to get the seals and fitted them myself (cost 8 Euros), the camera is now back to perfect condition.
