Praktica MTL5 meter probably dead...

Hi, I've just bought an old Praktica MTL5, I've had Praktica LLC before, and I do like these cameras, but I've encountered a problem. The meter's needle is stuck in the '+' position, no matter what you do, it stays there. Battery was dead, but I've put little charge on it, so it has as it suppose to - 1.35V+, but it still doesn't move. Any ideas or reference pages?
