please help me- minolta x-7a

i've been using my camera for a long time and nothing has been wrong with it until now. it suddenly will not rewind to take a picture. anyone know whats wrong with it? i thought it was the battery because i have not yet had to change them yet, so i bought new ones and it still will not take a picture.
