Cannon EOS750 Help

Post Wed Apr 25, 2007 9:17 pm

Hi
Being new to the world of photography I have acquired a Cannon EOS750 but I haven’t a clue what all the symbols on the dial control relate to. Rotating the dial clockwise the following are viewed in order:
1. (clock symbol) …the symbol for Timer, (that I can recognise)
2. DEP – White text
3. L – Red text
4. PROGRAM – the dial is indented and text is in green
5. (Half full battery symbol) – the dial will spring back to PROGRAM when this is selected

If any one can help shed some light on this I would be eternally grateful.
Regards
Jon

You can find manuals on the web, however, most places charge. But, here's a free site with a lot of Canon manuals where you might find it:

The red "L" is for "Lock" - the camera does nothing in this mode, turn the dial to L when you are not going to use it! - At least that's what my manual for my EOS 1000 said. IIRC my Canon 300 worked that way too.
