Love your work.

I too, like film very much. As yourself I am a pround owner of a Holga 120 SF. I also own a Rollei 6008 AF. I am more into colors and have not done much B&W. I use Velvia or Astia most of the time.

Since I purchased the Rollei film camera my Fuji S2 digital does not get used as often.

Hope to have scans from My Holga or Rollei soon.

Enough dedicated hobbiests may keep some films alive far into the future. But film as an ordinary mode of communication will soon be finished. Personally, I find it more and more difficult to justify the use of my favorite film cameras (including my beloved 1969 Rolleiflex), when it's so much easier to create images for the Web with my digital cameras.

Of course, it is is difficult and artificial to duplicate Holga images - your are beautiful, by the way - with a digital camera or by post processing digitally created images, and I think that's one of the reasons film will be with us for a while. (But then, so is wet plate and tin type photography, and passionate fans are far and few between.)

Easy, yes, rewarding, no. Think about it. Which is more precious, a shirt your mom made for you by hand, or one she bought at Walmart? The Walmart shirt is made of the latest materials, fire-retardant, brillinat no-fade colors, while the hand-made shirt is fading, musty, and definitely not fire-retardant.

Easy, even easy and *perfect*, don't equal valuable.
