EOS Elan 7E $220, worth it?

Post Sun Feb 20, 2005 6:36 am

I can get Elan 7E camera at $220, the previous owner just used it a few times(almost new!). I don't know if this is good chance to grab it.
Is this good price for this used camera?
Anybody has any idea?

Thanks in advance.

You can get a general fair market value of most used items at Ebay, B&H photo's used section, or photonet

Depends, is this body only, if not which lens is it being offered with. Don't forget if its body only, unless you already have a couple of USM lenses for the Canon it could turn out to be quite expensive, (a good lens combination for the elan, is the Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM). Also try it out before parting with your money.

Ps, The EOS3 is even better. :D

I would say only if you already have Canon USM lenses , or intend to purchase a Canon digital camera in the future, or if you are a film buff and are willing to spend loads of dosh on GOOD Canon glass. But if this is your first film camera and you just want to give it a try, I would go for a cheaper option. Don't forget film camera prices are going down like a lead balloon at the moment, and it could be a costly mistake.
