ARTISTIC PHOTOSHOP PLUG INS AND/OR ACTIONS

AS A FRUSTRATED NO-TALENT ARTIST I RELY ON ARTISTIC PLUG INS AND ACTIONS TO GIVE MY PHOTOGRAPHS A CREATIVE LOOK. THE BEST I HAVE FOUND SO FAR IS JASC'S VIRTUAL PAINTER AND MIKE FINN'S PoPArTiSt, BUT I'D LOVE TO GET OTHERS. ARE THERE ANY OTHERS OUT THERE THAT WOULD GIVE MY PICTURES AN ARTISTIC LOOK?

Have you tried optikVerve Lab's "Virtual Photographer"? It's a free plugin that you access from the Filter menu (you need to be in 8-bit mode).

PixelGenius' PhotoKit Color was highlighted in the May 2005 Shutterbug. They discussed using it for One-Click Split Toning and other creative effects. (pages 165 abd 166)

For split toning you do not need to make any selections. They are made automatically. Effects are in a new layer leaving your original untouched so you can feel free to experiment.

Adobe has many free creative downloads on their site. Most, if not all, created by other users and free to download and use.
