Kodak DX6440 vs Sony DSC P-92

hi there all...

i got a dillema here..
i recently went to some digital camera roadshow..
and i saw this two digital camera, with my budget..
one is the 4.0MP Kodak DX6440 and the other one, Sony DSC P-92 (or P-10)

problem is.. i dont care which brand it is..
i just want quality picture, especially close-up..
like real detail.. and stuff like that..
and also crisp clear outdoor picture...

i manage to take a look at kodak..
it says that the kodak DX-6440 has manual function,
like manually set your apeture and shutter speed,
and not to mention schenieder lens..

While sony... ermm.. dunno much about it,
except that almost every darn shop i went to the mall
recommend sony than kodak... (7/10)
maybe its because of the brand.. or the quality..
i dont know..

so guys.. which one you think its better..???
or do you have other model in mind that has the same price range..
good capability.. and maybe some cool feature..

I am looking at the two cameras as well.

I originally had a Oly D560:

Good images (from my amature opinion)
But shot-shot time with flash was 6-8 seconds. I found I missed a lot of pictures during events because I was waiting for the flash.

I then bought the P92
Great images but found the same problem. Shot-shot with the flash is 6 sec.
Also, the AF illuminator is an orange light, very annoying to those in the shot.

So now I'm looking at the Kodak 6440

I played with it in the store and was able to take my next flash shot within 2-3 sec.

My only concern is shutter lag and oversaturation of colors.

The Sony has no shutter lag, and it's non-flash shot-shot is instant.

Ohhh the delemas
