Central Park in NY

have you guys visited Central Park in New York before?
I went there last month, guess what, Central Park has its own "weather" ... meaning it's so much cooler than NYC.

I was thinking about taking some photo.. but unfortunately, my fingers were not be able to handle the weather... damn cold.....

Cold weather & eCameras

Not just fingers and not just NY Central Park.

I took my Canon 10D to Prague when daytime temperature hovered around freezing point. After relatively little exposure to the cold, it flashed a low battery warning and shut itself down. It was resuscitated by warming the battery but this is a potentially severe limitation.

Are other cameras this sensitive and if so, have users developed coping strategies?

Yep, Central Park is on average 5 degrees cooler than Times Square. Nice in the warmer months though, when the sidewalks of the city are baking, and in winter at least a bit less windy than other parts of Manhattan, which helps.
