But you're in Texas - I thought you just shot guns :D

I live in Texas...I am not FROM Texas. Big difference. :D

OK, I'll weigh in.

Up until this year I have shot exclusively in JPG (in the past if I had a "pay gig", I would shoot JPG with a RAW backup). When I downloaded a free version of Adobe Lightroom, I starting shooting exclusively in RAW.

What an idiot. The first time I tried RAW conversion I was using Elements 2 in 2004 and it was a pain in the butt. Now that I've been doing it, I have realized how easy the process is and really like the added control.

The jury is still out on Lightroom. I really like it too but I'm not sure the advantages are worth the $300.00. Camera RAW is fine without using it. I imagine Lightroom will replace the File Browser once CS4 is released.

I shoot large JPG exclusively though more and more of my fellow
clickmeisters are extolling the benefits of RAW to me everywhere
I go. It's beginning to echo in the recesses of my brain.

Perhaps I'll go that route someday and curse myself too when some
big advertising campaign decides they want to use some of my
images and I offer up my wee files to them in total embarrassment.

To me, it's not about size, but what you do with it!

Don't be afraid to be different than the pack.
