We city dwellers often live underground. Here's an urban panorama:

Thanks, this challenge let me find a good and free panorama stitching and HDR processing program: Hugin.
It can do more than some commercial ones, e.g. assemble 2D mosaics and not just a 1D horizontal row of pics.
Maybe not for everyone but once you have it installed it works beautifully as you can see here:
Summit
Photos taken today, what a gorgeous day.

10mm was best I could do - especially on such a grim day!

But here is a shot of my home town. Glamorous eh?

Did someone say panorama? Well, it has a panoramic feel, if not actually panoramic

I had always wanted to take this photo, and finally did a quick shot from the hip today as I was crossing the street... :-)

Your place in Panorama Challenge...My Place.
I don't have any panorama software and it's too cold and windy to stand outside for setting up shots on a tripod.
Here is my entry for the "Your place in Panorama " challenge.

I discovered today, that I in fact do have software that will stitch images together into a panorama.

However, using an 18 mm lens at fairly close range is not a great idea for a successful panorama. The software could only stitch 3 of the 12 shots and the result left something to be desired.

I will play with this technique in the future. I think it could be fun!

My entry....not the best but the best I could do. Migraine today so no luck in getting any images today or working more to get a larger panoramic image. Took a few yesterday but wasn't real pleased but this is all I got from yesterday's shots so this will have to do. Only two shots in this one stitched together. :(
