Hi Maike, there were not some, but only me to have commented about the chives in your photo. For me photography is also about accuracy and the picture for me shows a sort of baby leeks, or as we call them spring onions. Chives actually is a lot smaller or thiner and more green at the end and never yellow, like yours. Its important, because many recipes in French cuisine have chives for the fine aroma. You couldn´t use your chives in this recipes, because as I said its like a spring onion and used a lot in Chinese or Asian dishes, also wonderful chopped fresh into salads, like one of my favorites with feta , tomatoes, cucumbers..creek style, although i know Greeks don´t use them.
