Penrose, from the front, the centre pavilion. In the shadow area is a fountain which has been vandalized.

Our City Hall. The original ambition was for it to house parliament thus making Kingston the capital of Canada. However, the state of New York is only 10 miles this was deemed too close and the capital was moved to Ottawa.

Located directly across the street from Kingston Penitentiary, Cedarhedge, the warden's residence, was built in 1870-73 using convict labour.
