Maybe another PAD for folks who do not want to look at others & or make comment...they can just put their image in the post and then someone can comment if they feel like it. It takes time to open up all image & make comments & reciprocal comments seem to me to be common courtesy.

To me, I think a challenge is for everyone who posts to view all work on the forum and have noticed that some folks don't do that. Am I wrong in my thinking?

No you're not wrong. I noticed that too. Not only this month or this challenge. It was the case last month and it is with the TITTCs.
It irritates me too!

This is just a common issue with Pbase (and I'm sure of other similar sites). One of the reasons people are here is to get exposure. Anytime you give an opportunity for exposure, there will be some who will take advantage of it for reasons other than intended. It's also worth mentioning (I'm sure) there are many who really struggle to comment just because of language barriers since this is GLOBAL.
I enter into these PaD (they are in the
Photo-a-Day Forum) challenges to be CHALLENGED. It is an opportunity to grow and improve my "skill". I get to be encouraged and inspired by the others participating. I get to share my daily (
PaD) image with them and hopefully get honest feedback. I get to push myself and experiment by committing to a theme for a set period of time. I get to meet others with hopefully similar goals who are committed to photography and sharing.
I will NOT post in ANY PaD challenges if I can't follow through with not only posting but also viewing and commenting on others. You will find that the only images that I don't consistently comment on are archival shots (remember this is a PaD challenge) that are
way out of the
current time frame (this is just a personal
PaD interpretation for me / see my own
self-imposed "
rules of engagement" at the top of my
PaD Gallery). I always look at all of the images submitted to the challenge and at times I even comment on these archived shots because the image really catches my eye or inspires me. I have had some say that "
it did not say photo a day in the challenge description". My short answer is that it is posted in the
Photo-a-Day Forum.
Maybe I have said too much but then again, sharing and learning is what this is really about.
