Thursday Challenge 2nd April

Cheating a bit, I got this one on Sunday while driving along a road between Cosmos.
Stopped in shade to have a drink and try some close-ups of the flowers when my eye cought a movement.
The best I can find out from my insect books is that it is called a mole cricket, now what it was doing on a wild cosmos flower early in the morning, I dont know - the particular flower was very close to ground.

There are not too many critters out there since spring has not quite arrived here yet.
However I managed to find the rare and elusive Finnish Snow Crab (Ocypode finlandia papyrii)

I'm going to apologize in advance for this one. I tried to find something else, really I did. I put all sorts of goodies out on the deck - cake, hot cross buns, fruit, but the birdies all stayed away. I had to resort to what was on the windowsill in the end..
