Another shot of the pier at St. Annes.
Its actually two individual structures separated by about 50 metres of sand/sea.
Originally the structure in the distance was a docking station for a paddle steamer that used to call here, but the sand has now shifted so much that no boat of any size could realistically expect to reach it. (Estimates put the amount of sand deposited on the beach here at about 200,000 tonnes per year!)
