"Where I was today" - Day 1 of the America's Cup Trials in San Diego -- It was cold and rainy, with variable light winds.
Curious can read the A/C update at
http://www.americascup.com/en/Latest/Ne ... Challenge/An amazing race to watch, the winds were so light and variable and these boats so responsive, that one boat would catch a puff and the hull would rise and they would just take off, leaving the one beside it just standing still in glassy water. Wind speed varied between 2-5 knots and these boats displace about 3,000 lbs.
I've created an America's Cup Gallery on my PBase page, with images from each day -- I got media credentials, so hopefully I'll be on a photo boat later next week!
