I have read that both the central seed (floret) arrangement, with its counterwinding spirals, and the
grown petal arrangement of a SUNFLOWER follow the Fibonacci sequence, as does the growth of the
leaves up the stem (mathematical phyllotaxis?).

Fascinating nature!
