I worked yesterday and came home and ate dinner. Then... I saw this big fat moon, low in the sky. I took off with tripod and camera. Found a spot to shoot and by then the magic was going all to quickly. A couple creepy guys in a loud car drove past real slow, and I got nervous and drove to another spot and this was the best I could get. Definitely not the moon I was chasing!

Finally... a day off and a quick trip to the Dallas Arboretum to see the Pumpkin Village. This year it is spectacular with four pumpkin houses and the gardens are decorated with 40,000 pumpkins and decorative gourds. In spite of the unrelenting heat this summer, the flowers in the garden are lush and in full bloom. I am sure this weekend will be crowded with families and children enjoying this unique display...
