Can we set ISO setting below 100?

Post Fri Dec 29, 2006 7:28 am

Hello Everybody

I am Mr.Rajesh from Bangalore. I have a query and hope you will help me out. I have Nikon D80 DSLR.

Is it manually possible to set the ISO below 100? If yes, then please let me know, how to do it.

Eagerly waiting for your suggestion.

With warm regards,
Rajesh.

no, but why would you need to? you aren't going to have any noise at 100, if you're used to shooting with a P&S then this might be a change, but really 100 is plenty low.

Hi Rajesh,

If the reason you want to set a lower ISO is because you require longer exposure times (say for pictures of a waterfall on a bright day), try using a Neutral Density filter (ND Filter) which effectively cuts the amount of light reaching the camera.
