PLEASE HELP- Need some lighting advice

Post Fri Mar 09, 2007 4:02 pm

I have 2 studio lights- 1 umbrella and 1 softbox

I am shooting small children and babies.

I am having some problems with shadows and I did not know if anyone had advice on the best way to setup my lighting system.

My studio is in a small space.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thank you[/img]

Hi
I`m a newb at flash lighting etc but I have found the strobist website to very useful for ideas and info, especially for off camera flash etc
the 101 faq is worth reading through
He also has some real life examples which should also be of help

I have an ebook that I could let you take a look at. I am creating it (with photos) for a photography class I'm teaching next month.

You have a lot of options, including fill flash, reflectors, ISO, bouncing, etc. If you had photos up I could be more helpful as to how to correct the issue.

PM me if you want a peek at the ebook.

http://www.photoflexlightingschool.com/ ... index.html

is a good source of basic to advanced lighting/strobe tutorials.

Agree 100% with Strobist. Can't get enough of the creativity there.
