help with minolta maxxum 5

the display on my camera just stopped working?

well, I'm not sure it stopped working but it appeared and then went away.

does anyone know how to fix it?

If you don't have a manual at hand, you might check the Minolta reviews. There's not a detailed one on your camera specifically, but it probably works close to the same as the 7. You might just have a setting that's been changed, a weak battery, dirty battery connection or something simple. Other than that, I wouldn't have a clue.

Minolta Maxxum could have been my first SLR camera had I not been outbidded in an auction.
