Post Tue Feb 26, 2008 8:33 pm

Hello All

I did a catwalk shoot today and my results have turned out weird, the models look orange and look over saturated, can anyone give me any advice as i have another catwalk shoot tomorrow :(
I was shooting on F3.5 ISO 250 Shutter 1/80th
cheers

Rory

You probably need to find out the color temperature of the lighting, and adjust your white balance accordingly. Failing that grab a white something and use the PRE setting to get the correct value for white. However you do it, it would be my bet that your White Balance is incorrect.

First off, generaly catwalks are lit with TUNGSTEN lights, so setting your camera to 3200K would make the skin tones right. I also think that shooting at 1/80 for runway is really risky... models are walking and would definitly be blurry.

Having shot runway, my experience as been that iso500 or higher @ f2.8 and 1/125th is a garantee of sucess... however, I know that the D200 is extremely noisy at anything about iso320.... so that's tough.
