How to draw straight lines with the mouse.

Post Thu Mar 13, 2008 9:48 pm

When editing a picture using the mouse is there a way to draw straight lines, ovals, circles, etc… in a way similar to architectural drafting?

Thank you in advance for all the help I can get.

If you're using Photoshop and the brush tool, you can shift-click for straight lines.
Don't know if that's what you're looking for though...

Sorry don't have photoshop on the machine I'm on so can't confirm this... but from memory -
just to add to the above - I believe when you do shift click in photoshop you're limited to drawing either vertical or horizontal lines....

if you control (or is it alt/option?) click, release mouse on the start point and same on the end point without "click dragging" the mouse it will draw/paint a straight line between the two click points
there is no .sig

In PhotoShop there is a flyout menu for lines & shapes, it's right next to the pen tool in CS2.
