Tamron 135mm f/2.8 MF Adaptall

Post Sat May 03, 2008 8:04 am

Please can anybody provide me with the closest focus of this lens. Best of all would be the exact helicoid extension measured on the lens in mm from the infinity setting to closest focus. The reproduction ratio would also do if anybody happens to make a point of photographing rulers! The maker's specifications may also give this information? The marked closest focus distance on the lens' focussing scale is probably unreliable but may be better than nothing, especially if you can estimate what it really might be, beyond the closest marking. The reason is that I need to measure the size of some biological subjects (plants and butterflies) taken on it in 1969, mounted on an old Canon FT.QL. I had just recorded that the lens was set at "closest focus".

Google is our friend: http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfis ... %2f03b.htm

This isn't the same lens though, as the 135 f/2.5 was only produced from 1979 through 1984. I didn't find info on a 2.8, but Specs might be similar. You can try searching further.
