If I'm not mistaken, you've already asked this question in a previous thread, and had answers: http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=39415

 I really hate having my "limited, on-line time" waisted...

I thought that "waisting" is something that you'd have to do in PhotoShop, along with removing the wrinkles and the grey hairs?

I mean, you can TRY using Live View for it, but I'm not sure it'll help as much as a liquefy filter...

I myself vastly prefer waists in live view.. anything else is well, not quite real. Note that when I view waists I prefer not to be wasted.

Quite true. But there's a reason that multi-posting (as opposed to cross-posting to relevant and related groups) is frowned upon in Usenet, for example. In a cross-posted message, at least everyone in every group can see that answers have been given and won't waste time by repeating what someone else may have already said in another group. In a multi-posted message (one posted separately to different groups), someone could end up giving exactly the same answer and to what end? You've wasted their time in asking a question that's already been answered.

Since you don't have the option of cross posting in a phpBB forum like this one, it would at least be courteous to say something like "I asked this in the Digital Cameras group (http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=39415) but would like to get further opinions on it." This ensures that anyone who DOES answer your question will only spend the time to do so if they have something new to add. That's basic, common courtesy.

So is acknowledging responses that you've already received, but that's a whole 'nother thing.

OK since it's now open to all Digital shooters.. No my D-200 doesn't have this "feature". Can you honestly picture a DSLR, with any sort of telephoto or even some of the big wides, being held out at arms length, like a P-A-S in order to use live view to compose an image?

By the way I agree that you probably could have just added this as a further comment on to your original posting and received better answers.

Thanks for the link, Shawn; that guy's a good presenter. I'm looking forward to churning through some of his other clips (which, indeed, I'm already doing).
