Rules of the 3's

Post Sun Dec 03, 2006 12:43 am

I've seen this term before but I've not found anything/one to tell me what it is. Can someone explain this rule of the 3's to me..or point me in the right direction?

This shot is a classic example of the rule of thirds

Works both vertically and horizontally.

Of course, rules are always made to be broken :)

Thank you Jean, Rene and Sheila for the wonderful response. And thank you Chris for the lovely compliment. As soon as I have time to myself I'll educate myself with these wonderful links. :D
