Would someone like to give me CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, please

I'm a newbie at photography, using a Canon a630.
I've used a slight bit of photoshop for this picture, but I need suggestions on what else I can do. Or what I could have done while taking the picture.

You'll probably get better responses if you post the pictures here on pbase. The spider looks like it was too far away from the camera to get a good picture.

Maybe lighten it a bit from its current state so we can see the web a bit more?

Maybe crop it and take more from the center area and it will then
be blown up so we can see more of the spider and still have plenty of web?

Interesting other-world look though.
