Question about Photoshop

Post Tue Nov 27, 2007 3:42 pm

I am trying to do the following:

Start with 2 images
take a "piece" of one image, for example, maybe the background, or sky, or just the subject

Insert my selecetion over/into the second picture.

Not sure if its possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Kelly, besides what I mentioned in another thread,
there's one easy way of doing this which will itself
create a layer for you to do it.

You select the area you want to put onto the other pic
and then ctrl-c or Copy it. (Cmd-c for Macs).

Then you go to the other pic and paste that in.

That makes the new layer.

Press Ctrl- key (on a pc) and hold it down.
Then put the mouse on the pasted item and just move it
wherever you want on that page until you get what you want.

If you don't like it then use History and either delete that
move or go up a step before it happened.

After it's done and you're happy you'll need to 'flatten'
the image to get a normal jpg (but I save to tif files).
