Leading and training edge problems

Both the leading and trailing edge of any size photo printed on my 2200 have banding problems. The leading edge is too dark and the trailing edge is too light. The bands are the same size, about 5% of the photo area and both are the wrong colors. It appears the ink that should be being applied to the trailing edge is being applied to the leading edge. The problem just started tonight after a cold reboot. Upon rebooting I got an error message that the device detection had encountered errors and was being shut down. The 2200 printer is being recognized as is my R200 which is working perfectly. I downloaded the current drivers for the 2200 and reinstalled them to no avail. ANy advice would be appreciated
