Hello,

In a former Epson R200 I used to connect two iMac.
One was connected via the regular way, and the second one was connected via the camera in USB connection .
Ir worked very well for the last three years.
I have now Epson R270.
Unfortunately the iMac which is connected to the Camera in USB connection with a USB Mail/Mail connection is unable to connect the computer to the printer.

Is there a way to overcome this problem.

TIA for any help

Probably not... the R200 was unique in that the front USB port was a general purpose port that supported picbridge. The newer Epsons only support picbridge USB on the front port.

You will need to get an external usb switch (not a hub) to allow two devices to control one printer.

Thanks for your explanations.
I am sorry, but can you explain what is Picbridge.

The problem I am facing is with the front USB port.

Pictbridge is a special type of format that allows the camera to directly communicate with the printer. So you can connect a Canon/Nikon/etc directly to the printer (no computer involved). The camera then controls the printing using it's menus.

It's supported by most camera and printers now.
