Niagara III Continuous Ink Flow System, anybody using it?

Post Thu Dec 23, 2004 1:37 pm

Hi,

Well, in the midst of printing a ton o' photos, the ink runs out. I did get a refill kit - you can tell by my smurfy blue fingers (photo-cyan, actually) and my wasted photo paper.

So, I find this Niagara III system. Firstly, it costs $300 and that is without the ink! The ink will set me back another $120 (for the 8 oz bottles) or $62 (for the half sizes). Now that is about what my printer cost in the first place! However, I am willing to think about this.

What I want to know is 1) anybody using this system? and 2) are you using it for the Canon i9900? Love any advice, warnings, sympathy, stain remover, or places to get this cheaper.

Thanks in advance,
Ellsworth "Photo-cyan-hands" Weaver

Well, what have you decided? I teach in a photography lab and am trying to find something.

Thanks!

See the forum on bad ink

Hi,

I got the Color Bat system but it has not arrived. Read what I posted at
http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?t=9312

That may explain things. Bulk ink supplier is the problem.

Best of luck,

If you are still interested in a system, check these guys out:

http://inksupply.com/

I have used their Continuous Flow System for a couple of years now, with outstanding results on an Epson 1280. Setup, with ink, is about $200. Such incredible savings on the cost of ink refill bottles, as well...

Aloha,

Yes, but not for Canon, sigh

Yeah, their systems are only for Epson.

Anywho, the bulk ink supply is at risk right now. That is the major problem.

have been using mediastreet's product for about a year, nothing but problem.

while I came back from vacation, my printer got clogged. that never happened to epson's original cartridges.

I just bought a brand new epson r800, and going to give inkrepublic.com's spongeless cartridge a try.

I have heard many people talking about http://www.Inkrepublic.com kit, most of them are positive feedbacks, and it is much cheaper than mediastreet or inksupply.

I will let u all know if I have it up.

InkRepublic.com bulk ink system

Many people are extremely satisfied with what they call "Spongeless CIS" from inkrepublic.com

http://www.inkrepublic.com/testimonials.asp

up to this point, inkrepublic is the only one who can make the system for Epson R800, 2200, 1280, R200, R300, RX500, C86, CX6400 ...etc , even future printer like R1800.

According to what they told me, their R800 ink system can work on R1800 too.

I am sure it is an excellent investment since you dont need to buy a new CIS for new printer, just continuously use the same system without paying anything.

I guess sublimation.com and medeastreet.com does provide the same solution.
