I use only Epson ink. Found that Kirkland Glossey Professional by Costco givs excellant results and at a good price.

bulk ink system for Epson R800

Post Fri Feb 04, 2005 2:39 pm

You can try the system from InkRepublic.com for your Epson R800.

http://www.inkrepublic.com
http://www.inkrepublic.com/ProductDetail.asp?item=R800

Their pigment ink performance is claimed to be equal to epson's.

I think you post this request is because you would like to save some bucks rather than being ripped off by epson.

I guess you can save 80% from their system.

I also just got the R800, but I understood that for the first year one should only use original Epson cartridges.
Have you tried Amazon.com?

I dont understand why R800 users need to use the original cartridges in the first year?

For my case, I would just use the first batch of cartriedge came with printer, that's it....

even... I would like to sell these orginal cartridges on ebay.... dude.. it's around a hundred profit....

I realized that bulk ink kit is a good solution for epson printer, there is no different from using OEM cartridges and bulk ink kit.

well, bulk ink kit is even so much cheaper and convenient. I dont have to waste money on cartridge, and the autoreset chipset does good job on restting ink level and prevent cleaning cycles meaning you can save more ink and money.

Epson ink

I buy from http://www.inkjetart.com it's slightly less then Epson.
I have no confidence in other ink. I clogged my old Epson 870 with an off brand and no more. I have been using my R800 since around August 2004 and love it.

3rd party's ink

Agree, untill now, I havent got any good ink for Epson R800, except the one from http://InkRepublic.com

they have great ink and system.

If you really want to save money, inkrepublic is a good choice.

other 3rd parties - especially the ink sold on ebay .... is so crapy...

I have been buying ink and paper for my Epson printer (a 2200) for at least the past year from the Atlantic Exchange, Inc who are at atlex.com -- their prices are very inexpensive, and they only ship genuine Epson supplies. Give them a try -- you wil not be disapponted!

If you are worried about giving them you credit card info, be advised thaht they do not store your credit card info -- you have to give it to them each time you order suplies. They are fast and reliable[/b]
