Well it appear that all is back to normal, now it begs the question why are people so quick to complain and condem.

There was a hardware/software failure somewhere and it was promptly dealt with with it appears very little loss of data

WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED

Thanks for the good job recovering. All looking good this morning.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for this great site in general, I am very pleased with all aspects of it. I am disheartened at times when I read of people complaining of the service. I guess it's a matter of expectations, but when I compare cost to value, it can't be beat. I found pbase some years back after my previous photo site changed to a pay site and introduced many restrictions. I moved to pbase and figured it was just a matter of time when the same would happen. It hasn't. While you did go to a pay system, it's very reasonable and I thought it was well worth staying. I'm still very impressed with the lack of restriction, and the continuous improvement. I believe this is one of the best services on the net, if not the best.

I once ran a data center and network organization for a large communications company. I know first hand that nothing is bullet proof. I know the pressures of keeping a service available 24 hours by seven days. Outages are unavoidable, but it's the preparation and action that follows that counts most. Please keep up the excellent work and know that the silent majority appreciates all that you do.

Merry Christmas.

Thank you so much for working to get this fixed and keeping us informed of the problem.
Once you guys do that, then it is just patience that is required and that is more a test to us than to you guys at Pbase!

Great Job!

Thank you for your hard work. I don't know what you did and how difficult it was, but it must have been some tense moments for you. I was just nervous about my site and you had millions of photos and galleries to deal with.

Wonderful holidays to you all and my very best wishes for a healthy, prosperous and peaceful new year.
